The workbooks and exercises in the leader's guide are a printed representation of the observer training Larry Wilson has conducted successfully at hundreds of sites over the last twenty years.

Program Contents

SAFETRACK consists of four units for observers plus an overview session designed for all employees. Each unit will take approximately 3 hours or half a day with breaks.  The course can be conducted in four half-day session or two one-day sessions or two straight days.  Each unit consists of question and answer workbooks, table group discussions and exercises, and videos and video exercises.

Leader's Guide & Implementation

A detailed leader's guide with accompanying PowerPoint^TM presentation makes delivering SAFETRACK very easy.  Anyone can lead or facilitate SAFETRACK using these tools and attending a Train-the-Trainer workshop.  When delivering the course, each participant will receive 4 workbooks and SAFETRACK observation cards to help them learn and practice observation and communication skills.

SAFETRACK works because it is based on the proven techniques and real observations that Larry Wilson has conducted in his 20 years of delivering observer training and making field observations.  It communicates in a simple and sometimes humorous manner that observers can relate to while the reality-based videos really demonstrate how people, not actors, communicate.
