The objective of the
take-home package is to be
concise, effective, and easy to introduce to a busy family –
everything they
will need is in one self-contained little
package.
The Video
The video consists of
three relatively short, but very informative parts.
The standard package contains the DVD, but VHS
copies can be provided for those employees without DVD players.
The video is geared to
be fun for the whole family to watch and learn from
– viewers of different ages will find different
segments of particular interest, but everyone will
be able to relate to the activities of the family
featured throughout the video. The target
audience for learning the SAFESTART concepts at home
(teens and spouses), will quickly relate these
concepts to their own situations.
After watching each part
of the video, the viewers will be ready for
discussions and primed for more SAFESTART
learning...
The Website
The new Taking SAFESTART Home
website (www.safestart-home.com)
is slated to be available in Fall 2005.
A critical component to the program,
the website will allow family members to continue
the learning process by taking a witty, interactive
multimedia course that teaches the SAFESTART
concepts in more detail.
The site also features
games and activities for the younger family members,
who wouldn't be able to comprehend the full
SAFESTART course, to allow them to be involved in
this family learning experience and introduce them
to the words and ideas that everyone will be using
around the home.
