SafeStart now offers
five extended application units (EAUs) that
reinforce the original training, and provide
additional applications for the SafeStart
concepts—
extending the learning well beyond the core five
training modules.
Depending on your training schedule, this will
help sustain SafeStart for up to five years and
continuously help you keep your injury rates
down.
Leader’s Guide materials are available to help
you implement these EAUs, but like the core five
units of SafeStart, an effective delivery of the
material to the
employees will significantly improve your
results. That’s why we have added our 2-Day
Extended Trainer Workshops to our schedule.
These workshops are exclusively for SafeStart
trainers who have previously completed an
in-house or public Train-the-Trainer course, and
ideally have already
trained at least some of their employees in the
core five units.
Unlike your initial trainer certification, the
Extended Trainer workshop is not mandatory at
this time, but it is strongly
recommended. It is a great value too, since it
also includes the
latest version of the SafeStart Leader’s Guide.
The workshop follows an agenda very similar to
the initial 2-Day Train-the-Trainer where you
participate in a large
group on day one and then deliver one unit to a
small group on day two under the guidance of the
author or one of our senior trainers. Plus, with
the new day one agenda you will learn more about
sustaining SafeStart and the other new programs
we have available.
