Session Overview
Like the half-day session on the previous page, attending this 1-Day Workshop will change the way you think about safety. The difference with this session though, is that it
focuses more on the safety technology.  Larry Wilson, the author of SafeStart, delivers an in-depth presentation on the concepts, techniques and learning design used in the
program to improve the safety awareness and skills of employees on and off the job.

It’s not about safety compliance, rules, procedures, or engineering—it’s about improving personal safety skills so people can be aware of and avoid incidents before they
occur.

In both self-discovery and group exercises, you will learn about risk, the 4 most common errors leading to most injuries, the 4 states people are in when they make those
errors, 4 critical error reduction techniques to combat those states and errors, and more.

Not only will you learn the concepts that form the basis of SafeStart’s injury reduction success, you will be able to evaluate this proven training course under the guidance
of the author and our experienced consultants and trainers.

With our new 1-Day Workshop agenda, you will also be exposed to both the core program and all of the latest programs and support services that are available to extend
and sustain the learning over multiple years—giving you a more complete view of how this program can reduce injuries and maintain lowered injury rates over time.

The new agenda will also be of value to existing SafeStart clients who have implemented the core program, but have not been exposed to the new programs yet.

Your attendance at this workshop will provide immeasurable value to your personal and professional life far exceeding the small investment of time you make now.

Reasons for Attending

  • Learn about (or review for past attendees) the SafeStart concepts directly from the author and how they reduce injuries quickly on and off the job

  • Learn about risk, behaviors and the consistent patterns and root causes of most injuries

  • Understand why addressing human factors in safety has the biggest impact on overall safety performance

  • Gauge what you already know about safety with the SafeStart concepts for a more cohesive view of your safety program

  • Recognize the importance of teaching employees to use near-miss and close calls to improve their personal safety skills

  • Review adult learning principles and how SafeStart proactively addresses all of them

  • Discover why adults aren’t always eager to participate in safety training and what you can do to capture (or re-capture) and hold their interest

  • View all of the SafeStart components including new programs and envision how they fit together for long-term sustainability

  • Realize how SafeStart not only reduces injuries but also improves culture, quality, efficiency and your bottom line

  • Learn specific techniques for keeping yourself, your family, and your employees safe
